On September 18, 2012, Mark Cohen delivered a presentation to the Boulder County Bar Association. The presentation, hosted the Business Law Section of the BCBA , was titled “A Brief History of Piercing the Corporate Veil.” Mr. Cohen is the author of several articles on piercing the corporate veil, including Grounds For Disregarding the Corporate Entity and Piercing the Corporate Veil, 45 POF3d 1 and Cause of Action to Establish Liability of Corporate Director or Officer for Corporation’s Wrongful Conduct, 36 COA2d 441 (2008). Mr. Cohen’s practice, based in Boulder, focuses on drafting and reviewing documents and litigating disputes that arise out of poorly drafted documents. He once represented Ford Motor Credit Company in collection matters throughout Nebraska and became interested in piercing the corporate veil in that capacity.
